Maternity and Newborn Photography in Gordon, Sydney
You're already getting everything ready, the nursery, the car seat, the hospital bag, the newborn outfits. Booking your newborn photos now means it's one less thing to think about once your baby actually arrives, when the days blur into feeds, cuddles and not much sleep.
My Gordon studio is warm and cosy. When the day comes, your session is completely unhurried, we work around feeds and naps and there's no expectation your baby needs to be awake or asleep. You don't need to worry about your baby cooperating either. I don't pose babies into bent, curled up shapes, it's real cuddles in mum and dad's arms, at your baby's own pace, safely and simply.
Newborn sessions are best booked for 10 to 14 days after your due date, though I'm flexible and happy to move later if that suits your family once your baby's here.
Maternity sessions are best booked around 32 to 34 weeks.
Your belly will never be this round again. Your baby will never be this small again. This is the bit that goes so fast you barely believe it happened.
These photos will take you right back.

What if my baby won't settle?
This is the thing parents worry about most, and it's the I don’t want you to worry about.
Whether your baby is awake, asleep, mid feed, having a little cry. It really doesn't matter to me. I don't think of it as a baby cooperating or not. A baby is just being a baby, and my job is to work with whatever the day gives us.
I build plenty of time into every session, so there's never a rush. If bub needs a feed or a cuddle, we stop. That's completely normal and it's built into how I work.
After 23 years behind the camera, and having done all of this as a mum myself, I've seen every kind of newborn there is. You don't need to have anything figured out before you arrive. That part is my job. You just bring your baby, and I'll guide you through the rest.
I don't put babies into those bent, curled up positions you see online. I keep it simple. Your baby goes on a soft beanbag, either dressed or in a little nappy cover, and I photograph them up close, focused on their face and their eyes when they're open.
That's it. Nothing forced, nothing bent or pushed into place. Just your baby, exactly as they are in these first days.
I'm always led by your baby, never the other way around. If they need a feed or a cuddle, we stop. No rush, no pressure, on them or on you.
